Well, this operation is extremely easy, and shouldn't take more that 10-15 minutes.

Look at your new mirrors.

1. They should have 3 (three) prong looking bulges, that have a tread in them.

2. If they're powered, then there would be a wire with a connector sticking out of the mirror base as well

3.Some mirrors would also come with the Black rubber gasket. Mine didn't, so I re-used the original one.

Open the door and look for the Triangle looking piece of plastic (on the inside of the door...opposite side of the mirror). Take a flat-head screwdriver and pull the top portion of that plate off. It will just pop out. The middle part of the plate should pop out also. To get the bottom 2 (two) prongs out, just wiggle the plate untill it comes loose.

Behind the plate there's some padding, and the Power connection wires. Take the padding out, remembering, how/where it was sitting before...since you would want to put it in the same way, so the wires are kept secure and free of movement for years to come.

Disconnect the connectors, take the plate off and set it aside.

You now see 3 (three) bolts asnd a rubber plug, with the wires going through it. I'm not sure if some mirrors would come with it already on, but mine didn't. The hole inside of it was so small, so I made a small cut in that plug, to get the wires out and to pull the new ones in....

...But, back to the bolts:

The top one is easy, and you can actually use a socket, the bottom 2 are a bit harder , so you might have to spend a couple of minutes extra using plyers. Make sure you hold the bolts securely while un-screwing them, since if you don't- they will fall between the door and the door pannel, making you extremely pissed off.

As I mentioned before, when you take the OE mirror of, there will be a black rubber gasket type material. If your new mirror didn't come with it, then re-use the original one. Just be careful, when you remove it. After years of being there it might be melted on pretty good. take your time and it will come off in ane piece.

After that- it's all in reverse...and your car would look so much better. Good luck.

I pried out one of the light modules and used the multi-meter to determine which lead from the harness corresponded to the positive leads (see red arrows). 4. Using that information, I wired the 2-pin Molex connector which mates with the attached wiring harness (pictured). ... (more)
