If your BMW M30 and M20 engine BMW E34/E32/E30 is stgarting fine when the engine is cold and has some trouble starting when the car is warm then read below:

Repair procedure: ( Procedure courtesy of P. Baril )
1. Check injector, one might be leaking.
2. Change the check valve.

1. Remove the 6 screws holding the cover. Set the cover aside along with the gasket.

2. Disconnect the fuel pump connector. You have to pull gently on the connector tab and it will release the connector. Set it aside

3. You will need to place the check valve as close as possible to the fuel pump. Measure how much you will have to cut then cut it.

4. Remove the fuel hose on the fuel plate then connect the check valve hose to it (don't forget to slide a clamp). Use the clamps provided with the kit and clamp everything down. you can use the black nut covers that is also provided in the kit to make it nice. (No one will ever notice...)

If your injectors aren't leaking, the problem might be due to a loss of pressure in the fuel system ( bad check valve but good fuel pump). Install a check valve in the fuel pump output fuel hose (under the trunk floor mat, thru the access panel)

Part#: 16-14-9-068-988 (part of a retrofit kit for 750i)
Price: $3.00 - $5.00 Get it from BMA
Description: check valve with around 1 foot hose and clips + bolt covers.
Instalation: remove the access trap and install the valve as close as possible to the fuel pump. (cut hose to fit)
Time: 15 min.
