How to fix a FITV

Many of you guys have had idle issues, and alot of the times its the FITV that is messing everything up, and now I’m going to show you how easy it is to fix the situation ... it was easier the I thought ... here is a picture of the problem its unscrewed and not it place (opened FITV)



here is another shot right after i took off the cap (its not supposed to be flesh with the end of the unit)










all you really need to do is screw back in the middle section back on tight (see the too open sections on the edge of the inner part, the white part) and your set here is the thing empty










so when your sone screwing the FITV and everything is tight and cleanded properly it should look like this










now just put the cap back on pretty tight and make sure it seals good and everything, then put it back on the manifold and plug in the 2 coolant lines and you now can idle under 3k rpms...sorry for the bad explenation but i guess sthe pics make up for what i lack in

Removing The Shift Knob Off A Manual Transmission

... your fingers on your shift boot around the silver ring as you see in the above picture. In order to make this simple and effortless (yes you can do it with just 2 fingers people!) place your thumb on the ring overtop one of the nothces, and your index finger over the notch on the opposite side. Short Throw Shift Adaptor Install

... not be upside down or backwards or what not. [PICTUREID=10] [B] 11.[/B] Next you'll want to reattach the cable to the solo adaptor pivot mount. Here's where you have to watch out...there's a bit of play with the adaptor...you'll notice an amatuer (first timer) install job if the throw between your upper gears to neutral is less than the throw between the lower gears to neutral or vice versa. ...
